AUA Educator Development Program
In February 2019, the AUA Office of Education launched a Future of Education initiative to ensure that AUA is offering cutting edge topics in new and engaging formats in ways that are easily accessible to our members. An educational need was identified to successfully move away from didactic educational formats, and provide training for AUA educators to move away from lecturer roles, and towards teacher/mentor roles.
In support of this initiative, AUA created the Educator Development Program, a series of short online modules for educators who participate in AUA educational activities. There are many ways for educators to support AUA in its goal to provide ACCME- compliant, quality, evidence-based education to urologists and the urologic care team. Through this Educator Development Program, AUA provides the information, tools and resources to deliver education to urology professionals that improves the competence and performance of members of the urologic care team, which will ultimately improve patient care and outcomes.
