David Shin, MD

David Shin, MD FACS is Chief of the Center for Sexual Health and Fertility in the Department of Urology at Hackensack University Medical Center and is Associate Professor and Vice-Chair of Urology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Dr. Shin received his medical degree with Honors in Research from Weill-Cornell University Medical College. He did his urology residency training at Yale-New Haven Hospital and completed a prestigious fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Shin’s clinical interests in Men’s Health include medical and surgical treatments for male infertility, hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease. He has won numerous awards including 1st prize at the Ferdinand C. Valentine Resident Essay Contest for his clinical research in andrology and has been selected as a CREST (Clinical Research/Reproductive Scientist Training) scholar from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, Duke University and American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) as well as a Society of Male Reproduction and Urology (SMRU) Traveling Scholar and AUA/Praecis Gerald P. Murphy Scholar. Dr. Shin is an active member of the AUA, ASRM, SMRU and Society for the Study of Male Reproduction (SSMR). He has served as an executive committee member of the New York Academy of Medicine, Section of Urology and is an ad hoc reviewer for numerous peer-reviewed journals. He currently serves as President for the SSMR.
