World Congress of Endourology: Sunday Sessions (2018)

The World Congress of Endourology, provided by the Endourological Society Inc., is the largest meeting in the world that focuses on minimally invasive urologic surgery and encompasses endourologic, laparoscopic, robotic and other technologic interventions as well as medical management for urologic conditions. The meeting is an annual international conference that comprises the premier minimally invasive gathering within the field of urology.

EACCME ACCREDITATION

The World Congress of Endourology 2018, Paris, France, 20/09/2018-23/09/2018 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 20 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.


ACCME ACCREDITATION

Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Urological Association (AUA) and the Endourological Society. The AUA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation: The American Urological Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 21 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Other Learners: The AUA is not accredited to offer credit to participants who are not MDs or DOs. However, the AUA will issue documentation of participation that states that the activity was certified for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM.


CME POLICIES

Evidence Based Content: It is the policy of the AUA to ensure that the content contained in this CME activity is valid, fair, balanced, scientifically rigorous, and free of commercial bias.

  • Publication of a parallel or rebuttal article for an article that is felt to be biased
  • Limit equipment representatives to providing logistics and operation support only in procedural demonstrations
  • Divestiture of the relationship by faculty
