The Urologist is uniquely qualified by training and experience to perform and interpret ultrasound studies of the kidneys and bladder. Office ultrasound of the kidneys and bladder, performed by the Urologist, enhances patientcare by providing a non-invasive procedure that gives real-time information for a rapid and accurate diagnosis. Urologists desire to maintain their high degree of proficiency in performing, interpreting and documenting these imaging studies. This video re-enforces the concepts and techniques required to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations of the kidneys and bladder.

Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participants should be able to:
- Identify the normal ultrasound appearance of the kidneys and bladder.
- Describe the protocols and technique for ultrasound of the kidneys and bladder.
- Discuss the common indications for ultrasound of the kidneys and bladder.
- Appraise the ultrasound appearance of common pathology of the kidneys and bladder.
- Demonstrate basic ultrasound evaluation of the kidneys and bladder including documentation and patient safety.
- Outline the role of ultrasound in guiding percutaneous procedures involving the kidney and bladder.

The American Urological Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
