The purpose of AUA Oral Board Review Course is to prepare attendees for the ABU Certifying Examination (Part II). The course will provide attendees with valuable practice and preparation skills for taking the urology oral board exam in Dallas. This highly interactive course emulates the oral board exam given by the American Board of Urology. Attendees will participate in two-75 minute mock oral exam sessions as well as case discussion with expert examiners, role play practice sessions, a guidelines review, and a dinner session with our expert faculty who will offer tips and tricks for taking the exam, and more!  In addition to experiencing mock oral exams that are realistic, attendees will also receive guidance from expert oral examiners and the opportunity to refine thought process, communication skills and decision-making ability.

 

Attendees must choose Friday Program OR Saturday Program when registering. Can choose either/ or, not both.

Target Audience

This course is specifically designed for urologists preparing to take the ABU Certifying Examination (Part II).

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Practice the format of the oral board exam
  2. Utilize interpersonal and communication skills that result in effective information exchange
  3. Demonstrate skills to effectively manage anxiety and "exam nerves"
  4. Develop greater self-awareness and confidence in oral examination
  5. Apply the experience gained in the AUA Oral Board Review Course to better prepare them for the oral board exam

Located in Terminal D near Gate 22, there are no transportation costs to reach Grand Hyatt DFW from DFW Airport terminals. If coming from another terminal, travelers have several options:

  • Located inside security
  • Continual service; trains arrive every few minutes
  • Follow signs to the Skylink, and take the train to Terminal D/Grand Hyatt

AUA ACCREDITATION INFORMATION

Accreditation: The American Urological Association (AUA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation: The American Urological Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.00 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Other Learners: The AUA is not accredited to offer credit to participants who are not MDs or DOs. However, the AUA will issue documentation of participation that states that the activity was certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
