AUA Coding Seminar - COVID-19 Protocols

  • The health and safety of our attendees, including registrants, staff, and guests, is our highest priority. The AUA is working with the Westin Las Vegas Hotel to ensure the 2021 Coding Seminar complies with all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended safety guidelines as well as federal, state of Nevada and Clark County guidelines.
  • As conditions evolve and new information becomes available, changes will be made to our COVID-19 Safety Policies and communicated to attendees prior to the first day of the Coding Seminar.
  • Proof of negative COVID-19 test results or vaccinations will not be required to participate in the Coding Seminar and programming (although the U.S. continues to require all international visitors over the age of 2 to present a negative COVID-19 test taken within three calendar days of travel and provide documentation of a negative PCR or Antigen result to their airline before being allowed to board). Your personal commitment to adhering to all safety policies is imperative to the health and wellbeing of others attending the 2021 Coding Seminar:
    • If you are sick, stay home.
    • Follow all U.S. and International travel guidelines.
    • Masks are mandatory in all areas for unvaccinated attendees.
    • Practice safe hand hygiene: hand sanitizing stations will be strategically placed throughout the general session and meal rooms, by the registration table and at food buffet lines.
    • Be mindful and respectful of personal space: all participants in the program will be seated in the general session at least 3 feet from others.
    • Self-monitor, report and isolate if you experience any symptoms or exposure: a quarantine room will be available to the group in the event an attendee, speaker or staff member feels ill while in Las Vegas.
    • If you are in need of a COVID-19 test while onsite, please visit Nevada Health Response to locate testing locations in proximity to the Westin Las Vegas Hotel. The length of time required to obtain results varies by location and test type.

What the Westin Las Vegas is doing to ensure your Health and Safety:

Cleaning and Sanitization

  • Westin staff will disinfect all surfaces in the general session room during programmed breaks, including a spray disinfectant during lunch breaks and following the conclusion of the session each day.
  • Westin staff systematically and frequently sanitize “high-touch” surfaces throughout the hotel.
  • Touchless dispensers for hand sanitizing are provided throughout the hotel.

Food and Beverage

  • Westin staff follow enhanced sanitization guidelines when preparing and serving food, including wearing masks and gloves.
  • All food and beverages will be served by hotel service staff from behind Plexiglas or made easy for pick up.

Westin Procedures for Staff

  • All hotel staff are required to wear masks while in the Westin
  • All guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and can be cleaned throughout your stay upon request.
  • All staff are required to scan their temperature upon entering the Westin each day and are marked with a wristband showing they have been screened for COVID symptoms.
