Engagement with lawmakers is more important than ever before, particularly as Congress moves forward on pandemic-related legislation that directly impacts the health care community.
Recognizing that many member advocates may not be able to travel to our nation's capital, the AUA is now bringing Washington to you later this summer with our Virtual Annual Urology Advocacy Summit! The five days of programming will begin on August 31 and will feature a virtual Hill Day of meetings with lawmakers and congressional staff on September 1.
COVID-19 will, no doubt, have a lasting impact on the practice of medicine in the United States – and your voice makes a difference! Join us to learn about how the pandemic is impacting policy, how the urology community is responding and how you can get involved.

- Urologists and urologic professionals within the various practice settings.

Urologic Workforce
- Explain proposed legislation to address urologist shortages, particularly in rural areas of the country, and as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Telemedicine
- Discuss specific recommendations about how the AUA and the urologic community can use telemedicine to improve urology practice and patient care.

The American Urological Association (AUA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
CREDIT DESIGNATION:
The American Urological Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
OTHER LEARNERS:
The AUA is not accredited to offer credit to participants who are not MDs or DOs. However, the AUA will issue documentation of participation that states that the activity was certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

It is the policy of the AUA to ensure that the content contained in this CME activity is valid, fair, balanced, scientifically rigorous, and free of commercial bias.

- Peer review for valid, evidence-based content of all materials associated with an educational activity by the course/program director, editor, and/or AUA COI Review Work Group.
- Limit content to evidence with no recommendations
- Introduction of a debate format with an unbiased moderator (point-counterpoint)
- Inclusion of moderated panel discussion
- Publication of a parallel or rebuttal article for an article that is felt to be biased
- Limit equipment representatives to providing logistics and operation support only in procedural demonstrations
- Divestiture of the relationship by faculty
