The 82nd Annual Meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Section of the AUA (MA-AUA) held from September 5-7, 2024 at The Greenbrier, White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia highlights the work of medical students, residents, allied health professionals, and urologists (both within our section and from around the country).

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe management of neurogenic bladder in pediatric patients and implement recommendations discussed by experts to modify practice patterns in developing a career in Pediatric Urology
- Apply analysis of the science and efficacy of cutting edge restorative therapies for erectile dysfunction to patient management.
- Explain how AI is being used in medicine and in Urology specifically, and how to use this technology in clinical practice.
- Optimize billing and coding in the outpatient urology setting, and develop a plan to optimize compensation and personal financial wellness.
- Describe the impact of spinal cord injury on urological systems and list ways to reduce risks to patients related to spinal cord injury when undergoing urological interventions.
- Implement updated recommendations for management of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer as defined by the updated AUA guideline and discuss non-traditional options for management of bladder cancer.
- Modify practice patterns for management of patients with advanced prostate cancer based on the updated AUA guideline for salvage treatments for prostate cancer.
- Utilize the AUA guideline for management of urethral stricture disease to recognize differences in management options based on characteristics of stricture disease and update practice patterns to optimize outcomes for patients with stricture disease.
- Outline current management options for urogynecolological disorders and compare and contrast historical versus contemporary treatment algorithms.
- Analyze barriers to care in the transgender population and describe available gender-affirming surgical techniques.

AUA ACCREDITATION INFORMATION
Accreditation: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Urological Association (AUA) and Mid-Atlantic Section. The AUA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit Designation: The American Urological Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 17.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Other Learners: The AUA is not accredited to offer credit to participants who are not MDs or DOs. However, the AUA will issue documentation of participation that states that the activity was certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
Evidence Based Content: It is the policy of the AUA to ensure that the content contained in this CME activity is valid, fair, balanced, scientifically rigorous, and free of commercial bias.
AUA Disclosure Policy: All persons in a position to control the content of a CME activity are required to disclose to the AUA, as the ACCME-accredited provider, all financial relationships with any ineligible company (formerly commercial interests) during the previous 24 months.
