Dr. Uzzo graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian from Union College.  He attended Weil-Cornell University Medical College. He completed general surgical training followed by urologic surgical training at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He was an American Foundation for Urological Diseases Scholar in Urological Oncology and completed both Oncological and Renal Transplantation Fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic. He is a past member of the SUO Board of Directors, founder and prior President of the SUO - Clinical Trial Consortium and chair of the renal cancer task force.  He is an active member of the AUA, ASCO, the American Association of GU Surgeons and the Clinical Society of GU Surgeons. Dr. Uzzo is currently the President and CEO of Fox Chase Cancer Center.  He also serves as EVP and Senior Associate for Clinical Cancer Services at Temple University and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine.  His clinical interests include minimally invasive urological oncology and renal malignancies. He has authored over 500 peer-reviewed articles and chapters which have been cited >20k times.
