Sofia Gereta is a fourth year medical student at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. Originally from Ukraine, Sofia grew up on the south shore of Long Island, NY. She attended Rice University for her undergraduate education, where she studied biochemistry and medieval history. 

She remained in Texas for her medical education, where she discovered her passion for Urology, quality improvement, and value-based care. She pursued a Masters of Healthcare Transformation at UT and is involved in urologic research. In her free time, Sofia enjoys bouldering, running, weight lifting and reading science fiction.
