Pat Fulgham, MD
Dr. Pat Fulgham is a board certified urologist who has been in private practice at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas since 1987. He is a Texas A&M graduate and received his medical training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Dr. Fulgham was president of the Texas Urological Society in 2002. He served as President of the Medical Staff at Presbyterian in 2004 and is currently Surgical Director of Oncology Services. Under his leadership the hospital’s cancer program received the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award five times from 2005-2017.
Dr. Fulgham is president of the Urology Research & Education Foundation in Dallas, a non-profit organization established in 2001, which conducts original research, coordinates a local prostate cancer support group and educates physicians and patients about urologic diseases.
Dr. Fulgham has expertise in urologic imaging and shares this expertise by serving on the American College of Radiology Appropriateness Criteria Expert Panel on Urology and on the Clinical Standards Committee for the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He was guest editor for Urology Clinics of North America on the topic of Urologic Imaging, published in 2006. Dr. Fulgham has conducted courses annually on urologic ultrasound for the American Urological Association since 1992. He is Chairman of the AUA National Urologic Ultrasound Faculty and Chairman of the AUA Urologic Diagnostic and Therapeutic Imaging Committee. Dr. Fulgham received the AUA Distinguished Service Award in 2008 for his contributions in ultrasound education. He co-authored the chapter on imaging for Campbell-Walsh Urology.. He is co-editor of a book on urologic ultrasound published in 2013.
