Dr. Bivalacqua is the R. Christian B. Evenson Professor of Urology and Oncology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and is Director of Urologic Oncology at The James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute. He received his undergraduate degree, medical and PhD (pharmacology) graduate degrees from Tulane University and completed a urology residency at Johns Hopkins. He completed a Urology Care Foundation post-doctoral fellowship. He has a clinical subspecialty interest in prostate and bladder cancer as well as sexual dysfunction. He has a basic translational research lab focusing on urothelial carcinoma and regenerative medicine which is supported by peer-reviewed grant funding.
