Brian Lane, MD, PhD, FACS
Brian R. Lane, MD, PhD, FACS, is currently at Spectrum Health Medical Group - Urology. He obtained his MD and PhD degrees in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Michigan Medical School and then completed a Urology Residency and Fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Lane was named an American Urologic Association Foundation Scholar and is a former member of the American Council for Graduate Medical Education Review Committee for Urology. Dr. Lane is an active Clinical Champion for the Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MUSIC), a physician-led quality improvement collaborative comprised of a consortium of urology practices across the state of Michigan. He currently serves at the MUSIC-KIDNEY Program Director. He is also the Betz Family Endowment for Cancer Research Chair. In addition, Dr. Lane is an Professor in the Department of Surgery at Michigan State University. His primary clinical interests include kidney cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer, and adrenal cancer. He has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications in urology and oncology.
