Micheal F Darson MD FACS

Dr. Darson is a senior physician with Arizona Urology Specialists, a United Urology

Group member.

Dr. Darson is the Chair of the AUA’s Practice Management Committee. He also serves

on the AUA’s Coding and Reimbursement Committee and serves as the CRC liason to

the AUA’s Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee. He also serves on the

the AUA’s Regulatory workgroup, Health Policy Committee, and the National Insurance

Carrier Advisory workgroup.

Dr. Darson is active in health policy advocacy. He regularly attends the AUA’s Health

Policy Advocacy Summit. He is active at the city, state, and regional levels as well. He is

past president of the Phoenix Urological Society, and the Arizona Urological Society and

has served on the Western Section Health Policy committee.

Dr. Darson’s interests lie in general urology with emphasis on BPH and minimally

invasive techniques to treat BPH. Dr. Darson received his BS in pharmacy from The

Ohio State University. Dr. Darson earned his medical degree from Wright State

University in Dayton, Ohio and completed his urology residency at the Mayo Clinic

Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.
