Mark Edney, MD, MBA
Dr. Edney was born and raised in Penacook, NH and graduated with a BA in Biochemistry from St. Anselm College. He graduated from Dartmouth Medical School in 1994 and completed his Urology Residency at Dartmouth in 2004. He has been in private practice in Salisbury, MD since 2004. Dr. Edney has extensive experience in health policy and urology advocacy. He is past president of Maryland’s state urology coalition, previously servied as Health Policy Chair for the Mid-Atlantic Section of the AUA served as section’s representative to the AUA’s Public Policy Council. He was President of the American Association of Clinical Urologist in 2018-19. Dr. Edney served in the Medical Corps of the United States Army Reserve from 1999 to 2015. During that time, he served on the Urology staffs of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (2004) and Tripler Army Medical Center (2009). He was alsodeployed to Mosul, Iraq in 2006 with the 399th Combat Support Hospital. Dr. Edney earned his MBA from Brandeis University in 2017. His is a former Chief of Surgery at Peninsula Regional Medical Center and is the current Surgery Service Line Medical Director. He lives in Salisbury, MD with his wife of 19 years, Ashley (Shurtleff) Edney, and their three children. Outside interests include hunting, shooting sports, and playing guitar.
