Timothy Brand, MD
COL (Ret.) Dr. Timothy C. Brand is a urologic oncologist at Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Florida. He currently manages a busy surgical practice, specializing in robotic assisted surgery for urologic malignancies. He was president of the Biomedical Engineering Honor Society at Tulane University, where he received his Engineering degree. Additionally he completed a Master’s of Science in Clinical Investigation and has used this expertise to fuel a career in robotic surgery, resident education, and research. Tim has received numerous honors, including Board Certification in Urology, Society of Urologic Oncology Membership, admission to the American College of Surgeons, a Legion of Merit for the education of Army surgeons on the robotic surgical platform, and several award winning research presentations. He was the urology residency director at Madigan Army Medical Center for 10 years. He was the urology consultant to the U.S. Army Surgeon General until his retirement from the Army in 2020. He is appointed to the ACGME urology review committee and chair’s the American Urological Association’s New Technology and Imaging Committee. He is also on the American College of Surgeons Simulation Research and Development Committee, and is a Member of the American College of Surgeons Engineering in Simulation Committee.
