Urologist with more than 15 years of experience. Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology at Hospital Universitario Fundación Santa Fe de Bogota and Universidad de los Andes School of Medicine. Head of the Continence Clinic, Pelvic Floor and Urodynamics Division. Research group leader with a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. One of the most active members in the surgical field at the Department of Urology with a busy appointment agenda and surgical schedule. Dedicates most of his practice to female and male pelvic health, urodynamics and voiding disorders. Accomplishments include being President of the Colombian Urological Society (SCU) during 2013 - 2015. Other academic positions held: Director of evidence based clinical guidelines and Editor of the Colombian Urology journal (Urología Colombiana), and Director of International Relations of the SCU. Former Director of the Urodynamics and Pelvic Floor Section of the Confederación Americana de Urología (CAU) and member of the CAU Board. Participates in the editorial committee of BJUI Actas Urológicas Españolas, Associate editor of Neurourology and Urodynamics and reviewer for the International Urogynecology Journal. Permanent member of the Research Ethics committee (IRB) at the Fundación Santa Fé.
