Brian Eisner, MD

Brian Eisner MD is Professor and Chair, Department of Urology, Tulane University School of Medicine. The focus of his clinical practice is endourologic surgery, minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery for urolithiasis (SWL, ureteroscopy, PCNL), and metabolic evaluation and pharmacologic treatment of patients with kidney stone disease. His research interests include surgical techniques, infections in endourology, risk factors for stone formation, epidemiology of urolithiasis, and innovation/device development/drug development. He completed residency training at the Harvard Program in Urology at Massachusetts General Hospital (2002-2008) and a fellowship in Endourology and Stone Disease at University of California, San Francisco (2008-2009). He is a graduate of Harvard University (AB cum laude, 1998) and University of Michigan Medical School (MD with research honors, 2002).
