Yutaro Hayashi graduated from Nagoya City University in 1985 and completed his training for urology at Nagoya City University Hospital.

Dr. Hayashi was studying pediatric urology under guidance of Prof.Churchill BM as a visiting researcher at UCLA medical center from 1997 to 1998.

Dr. Hayashi was engaged in editing the guideline of treatment for cryptorchidism as a chairperson in 2005. In addition, he was supervising the guidelines of congenital hydronephrosis caused by ureteropelvic junction obstruction and vesico-ureteric reflux in 2016.

Dr. Hayashi was elected as the professor of the department of Pediatric Urology at Nagoya City University Graduate School of Medical Sciences in 2017. He hold the 26th annual meeting of Japanese Society of Pediatric Urology as the president in 2017.

Dr. Hayashi has authored more than 200 original publications of the international journals. For his academic efforts, he received the best presentation awards for pediatric urology fields at the 95th meeting of Japanese Association of Urology in 2007 and the best published paper award for the clinical study of the Japanese Pediatric Urology Society in 2014.
