Edouard Trabulsi, MD,FACS
Dr. Edouard Trabulsi is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Regional Outreach in the Department of Urology at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry cum laude with Distinction in Research from the University of Rochester and completed his medical degree magna cum laude at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed surgery internship, surgery residency, and urology residency at Thomas Jefferson University. He also completed fellowships in urologic oncology and minimally invasive urologic oncology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He also completed the Vail ASCO/AACR Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Seminar. He is also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Trabulsi is Director of the Division of Urologic Oncology in the Department of Urology of Thomas Jefferson University, and Co-Director of the Jefferson Prostate Diagnostic Center at Thomas Jefferson University. He is the Director of Clinical Trials in the Department of Urology and Co-Director of the Genitourinary Oncology Multidisciplinary Cancer Center at the Kimmel Cancer of Thomas Jefferson University. He serves as Cancer Liaison to the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Regionally, he is section secretary and president-elect of the Mid-Atlantic Section of the American Urological Association; and is President of the Philadelphia Urologic Society.
Dr. Trabulsi serves on numerous national committees, including the American Urologic Association (AUA) Education Council, the AUA Legislative Affairs Committee, the AUA Urologic Diagnostic and Therapeutic Imaging Committee, and the AUA Bylaws committee. He is a graduate of the AUA Leadership Program. He also serves on the executive committee of the AUA Resident Core Curriculum. Within the ECOG-ACRIN cooperative group, Dr. Trabulsi is co-chair of the Early Modality subcommittee of the GU Core Committee. He was elected to the executive board of the Society of Urologic Oncology. He is a member of the American Urologic Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association of Cancer Research, the Society of Urologic Oncology and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Trabulsi has published numerous manuscripts and book chapters in the field of urologic oncology and prostate cancer imaging. His clinical interests include all areas of urologic oncology and minimally invasive surgery, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, testis cancer and penile cancer, as well as robotic and laparoscopic surgery. His research interests include contrast-enhanced transrectal ultrasonography, PET imaging of prostate and bladder cancer, outcomes after robotic prostatectomy, and postoperative radiotherapy after radical prostatectomy. He has been designated as one of America’s “Top Doctors” and “Top Doctors for Cancer” several years running, and has been named as a “Top Doc” by Philadelphia magazine.
