Daniel Canter, MD
Daniel Canter, M.D. completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania and then performed a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) fellowship in urologic oncology at the Fox Chase Cancer Center. After being on faculty at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Canter was an associate professor of urology as well as vice chairman of the Urologic Institute of Southeastern Pennsylvania, a partnership of the Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Einstein Healthcare Network. In January 2016, Dr. Canter joined the faculty at the Ochsner Clinic as the Director of Urologic Oncology and has developed an active urologic oncology practice.
Dr. Canter is an active participant in clinical trials through the cooperative groups, the SUO, and investigator-initiated trials. He currently is national co-chair for InPACT (International Advanced Penile Cancer Trial) and serves as the committee chair for the North American Surgical Oversight committee for that trial.
Dr. Canter has published extensively in the field of urologic oncology with over 100 peer-reviewed publications and 20 book chapters. He is the recipient of numerous awards and has been invited to many regional, national, and international meetings to lecture and give presentations.
