Diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives are necessary for the advancement of urology. We will also include the LGBTQ population with respect to diversifying the urology workforce and identifying specific patient needs for the LGBTQ population. We will define the different types of racism and educate participants on the definition of racial and gender-based microaggression. We will identify tactics to address microaggressions in medicine.
