INTRODUCTION

Female urethral strictures can present significant challenge which can be further complicated from challenging location or length of stricture. The objective of this video is to demonstrate the use of a buccal mucosa graft in the treatment of female urethral strictures.

METHODS

This video demonstrates the use of a dorsal onlay buccal mucosal graft in a female patient with history urethral stricture and bothersome urinary symptoms. The patient has undergone multiple dilations in the past with recurrence of the stricture.

RESULTS

The patient underwent successful buccal mucosal graft urethroplasty and now has significant improved urinary symptoms as well as urine flow rates.

CONCLUSION

Dorsal onlay buccal mucosa graft is a versatile tool in the Urologist's armamentarium when facing the challenge of a complicated female urethral stricture.
