Oral Board Review Course (2021): Friday
This is for the Friday Program:
The purpose of AUA Oral Board Review Course is to prepare attendees for the ABU Certifying Examination (Part II). The course will provide attendees with valuable practice and preparation skills for taking the urology oral board exam in Dallas. This is a highly interactive course that emulates the oral board exam given by the American Board of Urology. Attendees will participate in two-75 minute mock oral exam sessions as well as case role play practice sessions, case and panel discussions, a dinner session with our expert faculty who will offer tips and tricks for taking the exam, and more. In addition to experiencing mock oral exams that are realistic, attendees will also receive guidance from expert oral examiners and the opportunity to refine thought process, communication skills and decision-making ability.
Attendees must choose Friday Program OR Saturday Program when registering. Can choose either/ or, not both.
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Practice the format of the oral board exam.
- Utilize interpersonal and communication skills that result in effective information exchange.
- Demonstrate skills to effectively manage anxiety and "exam nerves".
- Develop greater self-awareness and confidence in oral examination.
- Apply the experience gained in the AUA Oral Board Review Course to better prepare them for the oral board exam.

**The exact time of individual mock exams will be sent via email approximately one week prior to the course. All attendees should plan to attend the course until it concludes at 5:00 p.m. Due to the complexity of the course, requests to change mock exam times to accommodate early flight departures cannot be accommodated.
At this time, we recommend that you save-the-date and register for the course. Given the uncertainty, we recommend that you DO NOT book flights or make travel arrangements. In light of this, please understand that the AUA will not refund individual airline tickets or travel costs. In addition, the AUA will not refund hotel costs for arrangements made OUTSIDE of the AUA's Block or housing arrangements booked outside of the AUA Headquarter Hotel.

Breakfast is not included with the course registration; however; a boxed lunch will be provided as well as dinner Friday, April 9. Time for meals is varied and limited, as well as dining options within the hotel. Please review your schedule carefully, and plan accordingly.

You will be expected to dress as you would for the actual ABU oral board exam. Business attire is strongly advised. Attire for the dinner/general session is business casual.

The AUA recommends that you register for the course BEFORE making travel arrangements. Once the meeting capacity is reached, which may be prior to the early-bird date, the AUA is unable to guarantee a spot in the course.

The American Urological Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The AUA is not accredited to offer credit to participants who are not MDs or DOs. However, the AUA will issue documentation of participation that states that the activity was certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

- Peer review for valid, evidence-based content of all materials associated with an educational activity by the course/program director, editor, and/or AUA COI Review Work Group.
- Limit content to evidence with no recommendations
- Introduction of a debate format with an unbiased moderator (point-counterpoint)
- Inclusion of moderated panel discussion
- Publication of a parallel or rebuttal article for an article that is felt to be biased
- Limit equipment representatives to providing logistics and operation support only in procedural demonstrations
- Divestiture of the relationship by faculty

Live Course: An administrative fee of 15% is assessed if registration is cancelled up to six weeks prior to the course. If registration is cancelled four to six weeks from the course, the cancellation fee is 50% of the registration fee paid. No registration fees will be refunded less than four weeks prior to the course.
In the event that the Live Course converts from live in-person to a live virtual course, all registrations will be converted to the live virtual course and no full refunds will be issued. The Cancellation Policy will apply.
Registration Transfer: Customers switching from an option of lesser value to a higher value will be required to pay the difference in cost between the two options. Switching to an option of lesser value from a higher value must be made no later than to six weeks prior to the course and will be subject to an administrative fee of 15% of the cost of the course from which they are transferring. Transfer of registration from a higher value option to an option of lesser value past six weeks prior to the course will not receive a refund.
